Genera CEO Makes Top 125 People in the Advanced Bioeconomy List

Dr. Kelly Tiller ranks on Biofuels Digest’s list of most influential leaders in the industry

VONORE, Tenn. Feb. 12, 2015 – Kelly Tiller, Ph.D., president and CEO of Genera Energy Inc., a recognized leader in industrial scale biomass feedstock supply, was named one of Biofuels Digest’s Top 125 people in the Advanced Bioeconomy. The annual Biofuels Digest’s Top 125 rankings are nominated and voted by the publication’s readers and editorial board.

Leaders named to the list represented 15 different countries and included dozens of top company CEOs, investors, scientists, association executives, and policy leaders, including three U.S. cabinet-level Secretaries named among the top 10.Kelly Tiller headshot cropped

“It’s an honor to be recognized on this list, and it’s incredible all the work that everyone on this list is doing to advance the industry,” said Tiller. “Genera Energy has made great strides in improving and scaling biomass feedstock supply chain systems, and we will continue to be a leading contributor to a future of renewable and sustainable energy, chemicals and products.”

Tiller is ranked number 69 on the Top 125 list, and 2015 marks the second time that she has been recognized on the list. This recognition signifies not only Tiller’s, but Genera’s level of excellence in the bioeconomy sector.

Genera is the only company named to the list that provides an integrated biomass supply solution.

Tiller noted, “It is interesting that companies and projects and technologies that absolutely require reliable and affordable biomass supply make up more than 70 percent of the list, yet only 4 percent of the list represents companies focusing on biomass supply. And of that small handful, most are narrowly focused on energy crop biotech or a single segment of the upstream biomass supply chain and not on fully integrated systems.”

Genera Energy is a vertically integrated biomass feedstock supply chain enterprise, supplying biomass feedstocks for advanced bio-based industries. It works with customers ranging from established oil and chemical industry leaders developing next generation biofuels or bioproducts projects, to boutique project and/or technology developers.
