Genera’s Sam Jackson to Present at 2016 BIO World Congress

Vice president of business development for the biomass solutions provider to discuss “Cellulosic Feedstocks: Mitigating Risk and Cost through a Portfolio Approach”

VONORE, TENN. April 15, 2016 – Genera Energy Inc., a worldwide leader in biomass feedstock development and supply chain innovation, will attend and present at the 2016 BIO World Congress, the largest event in industrial biotech. The four-day conference will be held at the San Diego Convention Center, April 17-20, 2016.

Dr. Sam Jackson, vice president of business development for Genera, will present “Cellulosic Feedstocks: Mitigating Risk and Cost through a Portfolio Approach” on Wednesday, April 20 at 8:30 a.m. His session will address the two primary factors facing the wide scale production of cellulosic feedstocks – risk and cost. Dr. Jackson will review commercial feedstock supply chain implementation incorporating multiple feedstocks, share a case study on both single feedstock and a portfolio supply chain approach, and discuss lessons learned in actual on-the-ground operations of these supply chains.

“Mitigating the costs and risk associated with cellulosic feedstocks is critical for moving the bio-based industry forward,” explained Dr. Jackson. “Genera Energy has actively developed feedstock supply chains that incorporate a portfolio of feedstocks, reducing overall costs by more than 10 percent and significantly reducing risks as well. We are eager to share our key learnings from this work with the industry.”
