2021 has already been an eventful year for Genera.

The company’s agriculture fiber manufacturing facility in Vonore, Tennessee — the largest fully integrated ag-fiber facility in the United States — is operational. With the plant online, we’ve launched production and sales of our Earthable® brand of compostable molded fiber foodservice products and ag-based market pulp for sustainable paper products.

We’re proud to be the leading producer of domestically sourced and produced agricultural pulp and molded fiber products. Genera is offering advanced solutions for the paper and packaging industries while providing new market opportunities for farmers in East Tennessee. We’re supporting American farmers, building more robust and resilient supply chains, helping companies meet consumer demand for sustainable products and introducing an important renewable alternative to plastic and Styrofoam.

With Earthable®, Genera offers multiple key sustainability solutions: It’s 100% compostable, domestically sourced and made with fully renewable materials. Earthable® products won’t reside in the environment for hundreds of years like plastic and Styrofoam.

Genera is also committed to helping East Tennessee farmers grow their business. We partner with farmers to grow renewable feedstock crops like switchgrass on underutilized land, providing a new source of income and helping them diversify.

Reaching this milestone has been an exciting achievement for Genera, but we’re looking ahead to future opportunities. As our production increases, we’re continuing to build our team, which has already demonstrated its commitment to our values and its passion for customer success. We’re strengthening the developing regional market for the feedstock crops that we rely on for Earthable® and our ag-based pulp. We’re confident that Genera and Earthable® will be a long-term part of our local agriculture community, and we feel good about bringing that to the economy in East Tennessee.
